ANSWERS:
  1. Can I use the pool with the surface skimmer on?

No, due to various local, state, national and international standards, the skimmer and sprayer cannot be operated while in the pool since the filter pump is not to be operated when the pool is in use and/or occupied.
  2. What is the minimum flow rate for adequate functioning of the surface skimmer?

1,000 gal/hr is the minimum flow rate of INTEX filter pumps, in order to effectively use the surface skimmer.
  3. Which model filter pump and pool can be used with the surface skimmer?

Surface skimmer can be used with filter pump models 637, 635 and 633 also with chlorine generator/filter pump (saltwater pool system/filter pump) models 8111. All the Easy Set and Frame pools work with the surface skimmer as long as the liner has the proper inlet/outlet hose connectors.
  4. Can I use the surface skimmer with other filter pump brands?

    No.
  5. After setting up the surface skimmer on an AGP and plugging in the filter pump, the skimmer starts to vibrate and propel towards the outside lifting the skimmer out of the water surface. What should I do?

Ensure the surface skimmer hose is connected to the suction port, from the pool to the pump, and is setup to the right or left of the suction port (offset). Tighten the hook (for Easy Set Pools) firmly around the top ring or adjust the screws firmly (for Metal Frame Pools). The smooth contour of the hook will not puncture the top ring. Check that all air is purged from the filter pump, surface skimmer and circulation system.
  6. Does the floating surface skimmer always need to be used in conjunction with the filter pump?

The floating surface skimmer must be used together with an Intex filter pump. The surface skimmer relies on the filter pump suction to perform.
